THANK-YOU for again taking up the case for the disabled in the article on parking in Church Street, Kidderminster, in your August 23 issue.
I agree wholeheartedly with chiropodist Stephanie Ainsley's remarks on the U-turn taken on providing three spaces for the disabled.
Doesn't Councillor Clee realise that the need to visit a chiropodist is very necessary to the disabled - a large number of them have the greatest difficulty in reaching down to their feet, let alone taking good care of them or walking an impossible distance to get them attended to.
It also seems to me there are always cars parked on double yellow lines in Church Street to visit places like the bank! Don't these cause traffic problems?
I do hope Councillor Clee's "more pressing matters" include the promises he made to the electorate before the recent elections to work to improve medical services and to press on with his alleged attempt to get a badly needed doctor's surgery on Spennells estate for the benefit of the elderly and infirm.
