I AM writing to ask if there are any Queen's Guides amongst your readers.
The Guide Association established the Queen's Guide Award in 1947 as the ultimate award for members.
It remains to this day as the highest award a young woman can achieve.
The association would like to trace all our Queens Guides in Evesham and surrounding areas that the Evesham Journal covers. As many will now be living in different areas from when they gained the award and others will have changed surname, the task of bringing together Queen's Guides from 1947 to 2001 is a challenging one. But we know we can do this!
If anyone is a Queen's Guide, it would be great to hear from them - they can contact us at Queensguide@guides.org.uk or the Queen's Guide team on 020 78346242 or 0800 1695901.
