GOLF: Millie Whitmore snatched overall victory in the August Stableford competition at Wyre Forest ladies section.
Whitmore edged out Sally Smith by just one point with 20 players competing for the title.
Results: Whitmore 41 points, Smith 40, Val Bow 37, Pat Bowater 35 on countback, Ann Mertens.
