TENNIS: Convincing victories for both Stourport men's A and B teams completed their Herefordshire and Worcestershire League summer programme.
The A team won 7-0 at Evesham A through Dave Grainger and Phil Newbury, Kevin Grainger and Dave Westhead and the Tarpey brothers.
Stourport should stay in the top division next season thanks to the victory as they have won four and lost three with 24 points for and 25 against.
However, by conceding a match at Manor Park they may have caused themselves a problem as their season's points tally is subject to a seven-point deduction.
The B team beat Pershore A 6-1 to take their points tally to 21 with 28 conceded, having won four and lost three.
This should be enough to keep them in Division Two.
Carl Rogers and Chris Nuttall, playing as first pair, won both of their matches
Fraser Wilson and Steve Newbury won one and lost one as second pair but Tony Westhead and Martin Bradley won both their matches.
