A WEB of intrigue surrounds a new feature to mark the 10th anniversary of the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre.
A three-metre woven spider's web has been erected to celebrate the anniversary. Myfanny Baldwin and Rosemary Winnall with the spider's web at Wyre Forest Visitor Centre.
And visitors are sure to take a second glance at the creation atop the roof adjoining the visitor centre and toilet block.
Education officer Rosemary Winnall revealed the structure at the Callow Hill site had been made wholly from the forest's resources.
She said: "It has taken a lot of hours to make but we think it has been worthwhile.
"We have used natural materials from the forest such as hazel rods, willow, reed mace, rushes and heather.
"We selected a spider web to mark the anniversary because it is quite striking and something many children are familiar with as they collect spider webs in our mini-beast safaris."
