MALVERN Ramblers entertained second-placed Romsley in their Worcestershire County League Division Two match and were again frustrated by the weather.
MALVERN RAMBLERS v ROMSLEY & HUNNINGTON
Malvern made a superb start thanks to the opening partnership of 38 from Neil Thompson and Mark Baugh, in particular, in superb form with shots all round the wicket.
Both had departed by the 12th over with the score on 60. Paul Young and Luke Halion then produced an excellent partnership of 118 with some of the best batting seen at Regency Road this season. Halion eventually fell for a brilliant 59. Young batted on to score 63no with Steven Carter chipping in with a useful 18no, Ramblers had managed to reach 215-3, off only 35 overs.
However again the rain came and thwarted Malvern. Malvern finished with 12 points, but still need to win both remaining League games this season to be safe.
