AFTER reading You Say, (Evening News, July 24) it was refreshing to read the Phillpott File. But why "Skeggie" Phillpott?

Why not be adventurous, why not let the "big bird" which drinks seven gallons of fuel a second, whisk you away to a far-off land that offers everything anyone could wish for - British Columbia, Canada.

An en-suite room in Skeggie will cost you at least £50 a night, £350 a week. For less than that you will get a month and much more.

For $700.00 dollars Canadian, less than £350, you get a king-sized bedroom, bathroom, fully-fitted kitchen, living room, with 55 channel TV and Direct Dial telephone, maid services, clean bed linen, bath, face towels and flannels every three days. What value for your money, your suite sleeps four.

There are no pubs but you can get a pint at the Sandpiper Restaurant. Get drunk though and the Mounties will lock you up for a long time. Everywhere you walk, you walk in a forest and can see the sea and coast mountains leading to the Rockies.

For what it costs for a fortnight in Skeggie you will get two months in White Rock and Vancouver.
