MONNAVANNA can make a triumphant return to Britain on Sunday.

She has an obvious chance of success in the Slatch Farm Stud Flying Stakes at Pontefract.

The three-year-old trailed in seventh on her last outing in this country, never able to land a blow behind Banks Hill in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

But she was taking on some of the best milers in Europe that day, having earned her chance with an impressive maiden victory at Chester and a close second in Listed company at Lingfield Park.

And Monnavanna has since proved herself a very smart filly indeed by striding to an emphatic five-length win in a seven-furlong Listed event at Deauville inFrance.

She failed again when returned to a mile in the Prix d'Astarte on the same track last time out and it is no surprise that this speedy filly is dropped back to six furlongs on Sunday.

Geoff Wragg looks to have found her an ideal chance to resume winning ways.

Rheinpark can confirm his debut promise in the EBF Sunday Plate Maiden Stakes.

He showed bundles of potential when fifth first time out at Goodwood, showing up well in a decent maiden until lack of experience told against him.

The two-year-old is out of prolific winning sprinter Marina Park, whose trainer Mark Johnston forked out 24,000 guineas for him at the sales.

He looked a chip off the old block at Goodwood and can add to his family's fine record here.

Staging Post is hard to get away from in the Silentnight Beds Stakes.

Henry Cecil's colt won well at Windsor in June and ran a fine race when second at Newmarket last time as he was attempting to give the very promising Alphaeus 10lb and went down by only a length and a quarter.

Light Scent may well build on his promising debut at Ascot by winning theClaygate Maiden Stakes at Sandown.

And Parisien Star can defy top weight in the Mail On Sunday Mile Qualifier.

Bath's Arctic Spa Dick Hern Conditions Stakes may be best left to Notecard.

The Barry Hills-trained three-year-old is bred in the purple, by 2000 Guineas winner Zafonic from the family of top-notchers Rainbow Quest, Commander In Chief and Warning.

And he looks to have inherited plenty of ability judged on last month's debut victory at Doncaster, where he defied inexperience to get up close home and claim a maiden.

Hills could also claim the Stan James Telephone Betting Handicap.

His Rafters Music is better than he showed when a never-dangerous 11th at Newmarket last time out, and a reproduction of the form he showed when an unlucky-in-running third at Newbury previously may well be good enough here.
