SCHOOLS across the town celebrated a bumper crop of A-Level passes when sixth formers turned out to pick up their results, writes Matt Smith.
Headteachers proudly announced their students' achievements, in light of the national average pass rate of 89 per cent, and commented on the new AS Level exams taken by Year 12 students for the first time.
