ONE of the most-anticipated Hollywood blockbusters of the summer, Planet of the Apes (12) opens at Malvern Cinema tonight (Friday).
Tim Burton, whose previous films include Batman, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands, directs this remake, or 're-imagining' of the famous 60's Charlton Heston movie.
The update stars Mark Wahlberg as the astronaut hero, with Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter and Kris Kristofferson.
Planet of the Apes is on tonight and tomorrow (Saturday) at 8pm, and Sunday to Thursday at 7.30pm. There are 3pm matinees tomorrow, Sunday and Wednesday.
