BARNARDS Green Sunday 2nd XI entertained Barnt Green 2nd XI in a Sunday league game.

Barnt Green got off to a bad start losing Towner and Stock with the score on just 14, but a partnership between Edwards and Cowley saw the pressure ease, as the score was 66 off 13 overs before Cowley and Guest were out in quick succession.
The introduction of Wheeler saw Edwards good innings of 58 come to an end as he was out lbw. From here on wickets fell every few overs and with Brown bowling M Edwards for 12 saw their innings come to a close and the score at 176 off 42 overs.
In reply the Green couldn't have got off to a worse start losing six wickets for 32 runs in 17 overs. But W Wajzer and, in particular, H Gregory helped repair the damage with Gregory hitting three huge sixes, but with a good partnership building, Wajzer and Brown were both out lbw leaving the Green short of wickets.
With the Green on 108 and with 12 overs left, there was hope for a win until Gregory was caught at long off for an entertaining 37. J Longmore carried on the attacking batting with Bayliss before the latter was caught for nine, leaving the Green all out for 133 off 36 overs.
