A SPECTACULAR mix of music, drama and humour is being promised by a favoured theatre with Worcestershire art lovers.

The Wolverhampton Grand starts its autumn season with a return visit of the hit musical Grease.

Thirty years after bursting on to Broadway, the musical love story about hip-shaking rebel Danny and straight-laced beauty Sandy, the show is as popular as ever with old favourites such as Greased Lightnin', Summer Nights and You're the One That I Want.

The show runs between Monday, September 10, and Saturday, September 22.

In October the darker nights could provide the setting for the Four Knights of Knaresborough.

Set after the killing of St Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral, four hired killers are forced into hiding at Knaresborough Castle. But the knight's soon realise waiting can be deadly.

The black comedy, which stars Nick Moran, who played Eddie in Guy Ritchie's hit movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, runs between Monday, October 1, and Saturday, October 6.

The legendary musical La Cage Aux Folles returns to the theatre on Monday, October 8, which tells the tale of the characters whose lives and loves revolve around an unusual nightclub.

The stunning production features dazzling choreography and unforgettable songs, including The Best of Times, Song on the Sand and the classic tune, I Am What I Am.
