DON'T forget the grand coffee morning tomorrow (Saturday) in St James' Church, Callow End, in aid of Sick Children in Africa. Various stalls include pictures, cakes, greetings cards, bring-and-buy. Coffee served from 10am till noon.
The Powick and Callow branch of the Royal British Legion entertained fellow group three friends from Broadheath branch to a skittle/social evening on Friday, July 13. This was held at the Madresfield Club, and Powick and Callow End branch came out the winners. An excellent buffet supplied by Mrs Jo Fitzer rounded off an enjoyable evening.
There is no branch meeting in August, but the September meeting on Tuesday 11 will be a special one. A slide-show and talk will be given by Mr John Mason entitled Bombs, Doodle Bugs and Things that go Bump in the Night. The evening will start at 8pm at the Madresfield Club. All welcome.
