For several reasons it has been decided not to hold the annual church fete this year, the foot and mouth crisis being partly to blame. At a meeting held at the Church on July 2, it was decided to plan ahead to next year. It was therefore agreed to hold a flower festival and street fayre, which will be held on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend of May 4,5,6, 2002. In order to keep church funds ticking over for this year and/or to help with flower festival expenses, several people have offered to organise small fund-raising events. The first of such events is a coffee morning and cake sale to be held in Forthampton Club Room on Saturday, August 25 from 10am - 1pm.

The next festival meeting will be held on Monday, August 20 in the church at 7pm. You, your ideas and offers of help will be most welcome.
