POLE position in qualifying emphasised the improved performance of his Knotts Honda but it's rider Pete Jennings who now has plenty of room for improvement.
"The bike's in order now, so I've just got to get myself in order," Jennings admitted. Saturday's qualifying success at Knockhill brought Jennings a first place on the grid for the first time in years. "The bike went well in the wet and we were praying for rain the next day."
However, the sun shone and the Honda rider was relegated to ninth place at the finish. "My lack of fitness was the problem," Jennings admitted. "I got tired too quickly but the bike was fine. If it would have stayed wet then I think I could have won." Jennings has just this week to get his fitness up to scratch before a Bank Holiday Monday British 125 championship meet at Cadwell Park.
