Halfords continued their build up to their debut in the Midlands Combination with two 4-0 victories. On Thursday, Rednal Social gave a battling performance for seventy minutes before goals from Matt Betts, Paul Hayden and a brace from Richard Willets overcame their resistance. On Saturday old rivals Badsey United were also well beaten as Matt Hall, Dane Wood and Hayden with a double were on the mark. The squad was all but finalised with Wood, Ryan Field and Scott Walsh bringing some youth to the experienced players after signing on this week.
Halfords finish their friendlies with a visit to Fairfield Villa (Saturday) 3pm before they kick off on Sat 18th August at Home to Handsworth Weslyn Youth.
