A planning meeting for the SSB Field Day contest on September 1 and 2, was held at the Sutton Arms.
This international annual event is a 24-hour competition between teams of radio amateurs who set up and operate portable stations from mobile generators, endeavouring to make as many radio contacts as possible during the period.
The society will again use location just outside Bewdley.
This contest generates a great deal of radio activity on the short-wave bands around the world.
The society will also operate a special events station at Martley fete on Saturday.
Forthcoming meetings are the members-only annual meeting on September 4 and the annual surplus equipment sale on October 2.
