Members received a free gift of tea bags at the August meeting.
Sue Stone reminded members of the forthcoming produce and craft show, and plans are underway for a visit to the brine baths.
Retired policeman Alan Benjamin entertained with tales of the time when the police walked the beat, and cadets were also sent out.
Joan Organ won the competition, and Mary Hunter the flower competition.
The next meeting will be the produce and craft show on September 6 at 8pm in St John's Hall. Entries must be received between 4.30pm and 5.15pm.
