Fladbury II v Worcester Norton Taverners III
A SUPERB all round performance by Steve Leonard helped Fladbury II to a victory over visiting Worcester Norton Taverners III by 65 runs in their Worcestershire Counties League match on Saturday.
Losing the toss on a very damp wicket Fladbury got off to a slow start and lost the early wicket of Pete Sudlow.
A second wicket stand of 85 between Rob Haines (47) and Steve Leonard (75) and a third wicket stand of 59 in 11 overs between Steve and Lee Wickersham enabled Fladbury to reach 172-3.
A good all round bowling display by the four Fladbury medium pacers meant that the visitors lost wickets steadily with Steve Leonard finishing with 4-7 off six overs.
