CALLING all club cricketers -- here's your chance to play on the hallowed turf of Worcestershire County Cricket Club's New Road ground!

The Evening News, in association with Worces-tershire CCC and Norwich Union, today launches the Big Hitting Challenge.

Six lucky winners will get the chance to try and hit a six off the bowling of a Worcestershire player.

Each contestant will face three balls each, and the one who hits the most sixes will win £500 for their club.

The challenge will take place on Sunday, September 2, during the tea interval of Worcestershire Royals' vital Norwich Union League Divi-sion Two promotion clash with Glamorgan Dragons.

To stand a chance of being one of the six lucky players, complete the form below and send it to: Tom Sears, Worcestershire CCC, New Road, Worcester WR2 4QQ, no later than Wednesday, August 29. Do not send forms to the Evening News.

Six players will then be chosen at random by the County to take part.

Players must be aged 16 or over, must represent a cricket club in Worcestershire or Herefordshire, and must provide their own kit.

In the event of a tie there will be a three-ball bowl-off, and if no sixes are hit the professional will decide who has made the biggest hit.
