A KIDDERMINSTER teenager has been cleared at Worcester Crown Court of taking part in burglaries at isolated cottages near Stourport.
Joanne Fryer, 19, of Windermere House, Hurcott Road, said she had been at home the day that Myrtle Cottage, Wilden Lane, had been broken into. Her boyfriend, Beau Broadhurst, who was now serving a prison sentence, had bragged about the property he had taken.
She admitted she was in the car when Pepwell Cottage, Norchard, was broken into but she had not realised he was going on a burglary expedition when they went for a ride in the country.
Ms Fryer, who denied burglary, said she had confessed at the police station because Broadhurst had threatened to hit her if she didn't "take the rap" for him as he was on licence from prison.
