FOLLOWING your publication of the story regarding the injury to Councillor Robinson (Evesham Journal August 2) I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a point raised by your article.
The incident that took place was completely un-connected to the lap-dancing nights that take place at my pub on Saturday nights and was not the reason for the altercation that took place at The Royal Oak public house. As previously reported in your paper, the lap-dancing nights are being run on an eight-week trial basis and subject to the necessary approvals from the authorities concerned will then become a regular feature of the varied entertainment I offer at my public house. To date there have been no incidents of violence or unruly behaviour on the lap-dancing nights and am sure this will continue to be the case.
