POLICE are investigating after burning paper was pushed through the letterbox of an 80-year-old Kidderminster woman in an attack they say could have had tragic consequences.
The woman discovered a burnt-out newspaper in the hallway of her Birchen Coppice house at 8am on Sunday. The carpet underneath had been charred.
A Kidderminster Police spokeswoman said the arson attack had left the victim "very distressed" and appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 01562 820888.
