GOLF: Margaret Ellor won the Ladies August LDU Medal at Wyre Forest ahead of Val Bow and Jean Whale.
Bow finished second on countback and also took the threes prize on the 15th hole.
Result: Ellor 93 gross 28 handicap 65 nett, Bow 89-18-71, Whale 97-26-71, Dawn Gregg 99-27-72 (countback), Paula Wood 112-40-72, Ros Hayward 106-31-75.
Follow-on Stableford: Wendy Reed 31 points, Pat Bowater 28, Barbara Fascione 27 (countback), Ann Mertens 27.
