ATHLETICS: Steve Smith was the first from Kidderminster Running Club to complete the Clent 10k road race, the last of the Worcestershire Midweek series.
Smith was second overall in 33 minutes 52 seconds, followed by Kevin Green in 35-09, Ian Townsend 36-29 and Rob Chrzan 36-56.
Gillian Foote was first lady for the club in 43-16.
Other finishers: Paul Thornton 37-02, Graham McMillan 37-10, Ken Morgan 38-58, John Gibbs 39-10, Gary Bonner 39-53, Martin Wilmott 41-18, Neil Kerr 42-15, Ron Payne 42-57 and Dave Carter 43-0, Derek Jeffries 46-58, Mike Hudson 47-53, Ron Gough 49-34.
For the four-race series, Tom Kenderdine came third in the senior male category with Green fourth, McMillan ninth and Bonner 11th.
Foote won the second veteran ladies prize, while in the male veteran category Chrzan was fourth over-40 with Thornton eighth and Townsend ninth.
Gibbs was first over-50 with Morgan second.
