TENNIS: Budding Tim Henmans' and Venus Williams' can try and fulfil their potential with a new scheme at Stourport.

Worcestershire All Sports Partnership are launching a new talent identification programme with the county's lawn tennis association.

It is designed to give young tennis fans the opportunity to access top coaching to help them progress.

They will also be handed information about the clubs in their area so they know where to go for regular tennis in a safe environment.

The idea is part of the Sport England Active Sports scheme and is being supported by its lottery fund.

Fun days will be held at three venues in Worcestershire, including Stourport, and talented youngsters will be invited to join WASP development squads.

They will be provided with coaching and advice on fitness, nutrition and health.

Stourport hosts the day on Saturday, September 1, with coaching sessions for those aged nine and under from 9am to 10.30am and for 13 and under between 10.30am and noon.
