ROWING: A Dutch ladies' rowing club joined crews from across England for Stourport Boat Club's annual regatta.
About 600 entries and healthy support flocked to the banks of the River Severn during Saturday and Sunday.
The boat club reported no problems and took 12 wins over the weekend, finishing joint second overall with Warwick.
London-based Molesey stole the show with 17 victories, while Stourport's local rivals Bewdley triumphed in four events out of more than 100 scheduled.
Stourport secretary Andy Hough said: "Everybody enjoyed themselves and though there was a bit of rain on Sunday morning, once that cleared up it wasn't too bad.
"We had lots of nice feedback from the clubs as they left and that's always good to hear. And our Dutch friends at the Laga Ladies Club managed one win and joined us for a bit of a party on Sunday night.
"We'd like to thank all our neighbours who gave us support like Stourport Swifts Football Club and the Steamer Company. They held their steamers up so we could finish races.
"There were also clubs from Newark, Manchester and Liverpool. It was quite pleasing to see the number that turned out and the diversity of the places they came from."
Stourport will be sending out crews during the Bank Holiday weekend to Gloucester, Bristol and Ross.
