AWARD-winning pop band A1 are set to play the Ross International Festival.

The group, who won best newcomer at the Brit Awards 2000, will also be joined by former Another Level frontman Dane Bowers, the Honeyz and The AllStars.

A1, who have had chart number one's with Take on Me and Same Old Brand New You, are to replace Atomic Kitten.

The girl-band, who had to pull out to re-shoot their Whole Again video for release in America, will instead play on Sunday, August 26 at 3pm. They will be backed by girls@play and Tymes 4.

"Naturally we're disappointed by this postponement," said marketing manager Denise Kennedy.

"But we've been working round the clock to put together an extraordinary line-up to join the Honeyz and we are delighted to announce that A1, Dane Bowers and The AllStars will join the bill with the Honeyz on Wednesday, August 22, at 7pm.

"Not only is this great value for money at the original ticket price of £18, it is a rare opportunity to see these artists in a very intimate environment. Tickets are on sale now and are likely to move very fast."

Other events include performances by Joan Armatrading, Hothouse Flowers, Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Blind Boys of Alabama and Vanessa Mae.
