ALMOST every Asian family in Redditch has donated £1,000 to an appeal to raise more than £2.5 million to create a new mosque in the town.
The fund-raising effort to build the mosque on the former Alcad factory site began in November and a staggering £200,000 has already been raised by Redditch residents alone.
Up to £300,000 is needed to buy the three acres of land and a further £2.5 million to actually build it and create a 175-space car park.
