YEARS of speculation over the future of a Redditch sports ground are finally at an end after plans to create a £1 million state-of-the-art facility, writes Becky Procter.
Fears houses would be built on the site of Redditch Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Club have been laid to rest with the announcement the venue is to be turned into a major sports ground.
The project has been set up between Redditch Council and Sport England and work to transform the Bromsgrove Road site will start in 2003.
