A TEENAGER from Droitwich Spa is hoping to take the worldwide web by storm -- but first he needs your help.

John Helps, of Hanbury Road, who has a passion for web design, and his friend, Redditch-based Chris Jolley, who is mad about music, have set up Audiowavez -- an on-line music website for anyone who likes to listen to, perform, or compose music.

The 17-year-old, a sixth form student at Droitwich Spa High School, said: "The idea behind the site was initially to provide a new concept page with the intention of bringing people together in music, to share ideas, learn, benefit from each other and generally have some fun.

"Whether you are a novice musician with instrument skills, the most seasoned professional piano player, or the next DJ set to take the clubs by storm or even if you just enjoy listening to music, the pages of Audiowavez aim to provide something for everyone," said John.

Parts of the site at www.audiowavez.com are still under construction and because it is primarily a non-commercial venture, according to the pair, they do not have the cash for the type of development they want.

John said: "We desperately need a new web server with more than 50 megabytes of storage space because the 20 megabytes available to us at the moment is not enough to do what we want to do."
