THE problems have already started for Studley FC manager Mark Chambers after his side started their debut Alliance season with a 3-1 loss to Willenhall.
With first choice keeper Keith Beasley nursing a shoulder injury, Chambers pitched last season's reserve Duncan Turk into action on Saturday.
Experienced new signing Melvin Watson was told Turk would get the nod because Watson pulled out of last weeks' friendly at Northfield Town and training because of work commitments.
Chambers told the former Worcester, Evesham and Moor Green shot-stopper he expcted him to be involved on match day but the newboy failed to show and had not contacted the club at the start of the week.
And after missing most of pre-season, prolific striker Brian Powell has joined Feckenham.
Chambers saw his eleventh hour new signing Craig Pountney open his account with a goal on Saturday.
Studley were unlucky to draw 0-0 with Oadby last night and entertain Halesowen Harriers on Saturday (ko 3pm) before visiting Barwell on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).
Dean Meyrick and Richard Kavanagh made welcome returns last night.
Star midfielder Steve Duncan was hoping to start training this week after being given the all-clear by a specialist over a long-standing groin injury.
