AN Alcester teenager is fulfilling a long-term dream and jetting off to Brazil to help deprived youngsters.
Erica Wilkins, from Roman Way, will be travelling to Sao Paulo in October to spend seven months working with street children.
The former St Benedict's High School and Alcester Grammar School student applied to the Oasis Trust, based in London, to take part in the adventure.
Miss Wilkins had to raise £3,000 for the trip and has had help from companies in the Alcester area, including Freeman and Pardoe, Bridge End Garage Ltd, Automotive Lamps Components Ltd and Coughton Court.
She also climbed Mount Snowdon and collected £800, bringing the total raised to about £2,500.
