THE benefit fraud hotline set up by Redditch Council has resulted in another success after a Redditch man was convicted of illegally claiming benefits.
On Friday, self-employed Roy Laurence, of Kineton Close, Matchborough, admitted claiming £3,800 in housing and council tax benefit, income support and disability living allowance over a six- month period.
He admitted he was not entitled to the money and gave a false representation.
Laurence was sentenced to one year's community rehabilitation and ordered to pay £65 costs.
