TWO incidents which left women badly shaken at Kingfisher Centre car parks have prompted a security review by centre bosses.
The review is being carried out alongside a £2 million refurbishment which includes the provision of CCTV and stepping up of security.
Redditch police are seeking witnesses to both incidents, which may be linked.
A man approached a woman at Car Park 3 at about 1.20pm on Wednesday and demanded money, but the woman, who is in her 50s, refused and sounded her car horn. The offender ran off empty handed.
The man was described as white, about 6ft with a slim build and was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, sports top and bottoms. His speech was reported to have been slurred.
The previous incident happened at about 3.30pm last Monday at Car Park 2.
A man threatened to kill a woman before snatching her handbag, containing £70, credit cards and personal items.
The offender was described as white, in his 20s, about 6ft with a slim build and scruffy dyed blond hair.
Witnesses can call Redditch police on 584888.
