IN THE Heart of England League, Alcester inflicted a massive 70-shot defeat on visitors Greet, with seven individual winners.
Peter Barber led the way with 21-3, closely followed by John Alderson 21-5, Renny Bannister 21-10, Bob LeResche 21-11 and Chris Hollins 21-12.
But the B team lost by 42 shots at King George VI with only Ron Hawksley 21-13 and Gill Croft 21-20 victorious.
In the Northfield League Alcester went down by five shots at Edgbaston BC, only their second defeat of the season.
But four league points were secured with individual wins from John Alderson 21-7, Dave Hovell 21-11, Jean Bannister 21-14 and Renny Bannister 21-16 keeping Alcester top.
In the Northfield League Alcester were on the end of a thrashing by Grasshoppers as they went down by 49 shots.
Only Renny Bannister 21-14 and Rod Brammer 21-20 could rescue anything.
