REGULARS at a Bromsgrove pub are not afraid to dig deep in their pockets when it comes to supporting charities.
The latest effort by staff and customers at the Red Lion, in High Street, has bro- ught in £1,000 which has been divided between the Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre and the County Air Ambulance.
Licensee Rich-ard Scott said: "We've got a great crowd of regulars and they really enjoy their fund-raising.
"We also get great support from businesses who donate prizes for our weekly raffle.
A generous town butcher regularly donates meat as prizes.
Organisers Geoff Stokes and Lol Banner already have £400 in the kitty and are busy planning the next fundraising activity.
Hospice spokeswoman Lyn Winters said: "Without the regular support of pubs like the Red Lion and the generosity of local people we wouldn't be able to continue our care at the hospice."
