TWO men with Irish accents are being sought by police after a pensioner from Bromsgrove was duped into letting a man into his Rockhill home.

The 70-year-old answered a knock at the door to his Breakback Road home to a man saying he was from a water company.

He claimed he was working further along the road and he needed the man to turn on his taps.

He followed the elderly man into his home who then said he wanted to check on his dogs.

As the pensioner tried to get past the offender, he saw another person run from the lounge and out of the house.

The first offender also ran off and the victim later discovered his wardrobe had been searched but nothing was stolen.

The first offender is described as a white man, aged between 30 and 35, of slim build, 6ft tall with short, cropped dark hair.

He was wearing a dark blue jumper and jeans and spoke with a strong Irish accent.

The second offender is described as white, aged 30 to 35, of medium build, about 5ft 4ins tall with short dark hair. He also had an Irish accent.

The incident happened at around 2.40pm last Thursday, August 9.
