A TERRIFIED woman feared for her safety when a man followed and threatened her while she was driving on the A448 between Redditch and Bromsgrove.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 7, when a car braked suddenly on the Slideslow island in Bromsgrove and the woman driver was forced to move into another lane.

She then noticed a man pull along side her in a K-registered silver Ford Orion. He made gestures at her and began to follow her closely.

He then overtook her and stopped his car.

He got out and started to shout at the woman, who locked her car doors and drove past him to Bromsgrove police station in the Crescent.

He continued to follow her, but left as she approached the station.

Police are looking for a white man, wearing jeans, in his mid 50's, about 5ft 8 to 5ft 10" tall with a tanned complexion and grey hair.

Officers say there have recently been a number of cases where men have subjected women to harassment, though not necessarily while driving, and who may not have reported the incidents.

They are keen to hear from anyone who has been a victim, or who has information on the latest incident to contact PC Russell on (01527) 584888.
