DROITWICH Spa Firsts suffered a disappointing defeat at Aston Manor in Sunday's Berry League game.
Chasing a gettable 212 from 45 overs, Spa got themselves into a good position at 140-2 but collapsed disastrously to 156 all out.
The first three batsmen, Nigel Haddock, Paul Bryan and Wesley Euley, all got in but disappointingly none went on to play a match-winning innings.
Earlier, Spa had bowled reasonably on a seamer friendly track.
Youngster Peter Gunston maintained an impressive line and length on his First XI debut as did fellow seamer Bryan - although it was far from his debut.
Spinner Michael Gunston was Spa's most effective bowler. He took 3-27 off his nine overs.
An interesting feature was the appearance together of all three Gunstons for the first time - father Brian and sons Mike and Peter.
