Albert Mews, of Walford Street, Redditch, in custody, was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Worcester Road on August 10.
Pc Eales said his attention was called to a crowd in Worcester Road on Saturday night and on going to investigate, he found the prisoner with his coat off wanting to fight.
He ordered him home and he went away but when he returned half-an-hour later, he found the prisoner lying in the gutter drunk.
Prisoner pleaded guilty and as he had been in custody since Saturday, the Bench said he only had to pay the costs 4s in default of three days' imprisonment.
