I WAS sitting in Clinic 2000 at the Alexandra Hospital. I was appalled at the statistics set out on the pinboard referring to patients who do not attend the appointments carefully set for them.
Do these people not realise it is this lack of respect for other patients, nurses and doctors that helps towards the long waiting lists in our health service?
How can people abuse this wonderful system that we have?
It is just a phone call if you can't keep your appointment and that would allow someone else to benefit.
