AFTER years of being shunted around to demolition sites and a shabby yard, Redditch market is back where it belongs - its traditional site in Church Green.
As to the agreement with the Kingfisher Centre, it is doubtful if a prestige store like Debenhams will survive for long in that downmarket environment and the site will then either lie empty or become yet another temporary outlet for greeting cards.
Councillor Albert Wharrad has been in the business long enough to recognise that even today public opinion must count for something.
