I SEE in a recent Redditch Advertiser that yet another motorcyclist has been killed at the junction of the A441 Alcester Highway and A448 Warwick Highway slip roads.

I have repeatedly seen motorcyclists tearing around this junction at breakneck speeds with no care for anyone, including themselves.

What happened to the police action that was supposed to cease this lunacy? (Police blitz on bikers' safety, Advertiser, May 16)

If the police really do want to put a stop to this mad practice then why don't they position themselves at the junction, especially at weekends when it is dry, in an unmarked car, to witness it for themselves?

I must point out that the person who recently died may in no way be connected to these other plebeians.

I have witnessed motorcyclists at this location weaving in and out of cars at incredibly high speeds.

I have attempted to take the offending motorcyclists' registration but was unable to do so due to its high speed and the miniscule number plate, which I might add is sized to do just this - avoid detection.

Or there again it could be to illustrate the size of their IQ.

I am a motorcyclist myself and live within two miles of the junction.

These motorcyclists repeatedly go around and around this junction creating a deafening din from their unsuppressed exhausts, with their friends on the bridges egging and encouraging them on.

These people give motorcycling a bad reputation.

These inconsiderate and arrogant motorcyclists are not only an annoyance with their noise but are putting their own lives at risk and that of innocent road users as well.

Therefore, I would welcome action by the police and let's hope these lunatics are dealt with and quickly.
