PEEVED neighbours at Hallow Road and Bilford Road, Worcester, have been vocal about getting the household waste sites near them moved.
They think an out-of-town location would be better, or perhaps a plot on a trading estate.
It might seem a fanciful suggestion, borne out of nimbyism.
But surely Worcestershire County Council, which authorises the reclamation scheme, isn't short of land.
As well as farms across the county, the council's asset portfolio includes industrial sites on estates such as Hampton Lovett, near Droitwich.
Is it doing all it can to chivvy Mercia Waste Management, operator of both Hallow Road and Bilford Road waste sites, to consider the options available?
