RISING star Salviati can follow up his impressive Ascot victory by winning the feature race at Beverley.

Trainer Milton Bradley was delighted by the performance of the four-year-old on Sunday and, immediately after the race, set his sights firmly on the£12,000-added Tote Placepot Handicap.

Salviati's win was just one of a string of successes in what has been aremarkable season for Bradley, who trains at Chepstow.

The gelding scored by two and a half lengths at Ascot and completed a sparkling double for champion jockey Kevin Darley on the day.

Bradley later admitted the victory at the Berkshire course was a dream come true for him - and he paid glowing tribute to his right-hand woman, LizBatchelor, who looks after the horse.

Darley was equally impressed by Salviati's success and - this could be a tip in itself - urged Bradley to run the gelding at Beverley.

William Jarvis could take the Hull Daily Mail Maiden Stakes with his three-year-old Demi Beau. The colt was third in a maiden race at Kempton after pulling too hard in the early stages and finding little in the closing stages. He is a promising type, however, and would be suited by a strong gallop.

Before that race, consistent Demi Beau stayed on well to finish third atNewmarket. Mark Brisbourne's six-year-old Major Attraction could play a starring role in the Downey's Diary Classified Stakes.

The grey gelding made no impression on the winner when fourth in a handicap at Chester last time but may have better luck this time.

He won at Ayr in June and has been placed a couple of times since then so may run well at a decent price.

Brisbourne also saddles Oh No Not Him in the opening Allders of Hull Claiming Stakes.

The five-year-old won a 19-runner seller at Ripon in July but has shown distinct signs of temperament by refusing to race several times this season.

If he is in a going mood, he can make use of his winning experience in what looks a weak race.

At Salisbury, Henry Cecil's progressive Sauterne can win the feature race, the Listed £25,000-added European Breeders Fund Upavon Fillies Stakes.

The three-year-old has proved a high-quality performer this season and is now chasing a hat-trick after impressive wins at Doncaster and Chepstow.

She also won a maiden race at Beverley and is clearly on the upgrade. The filly's Listed race success at Chepstow was a step up in class but jockey Richard Quinn kept a bit up his sleeve that day to gain a narrow victory by a head.

At Hamilton's evening meeting, Mark Brisbourne could be on target again with Opportune in the Saffie Joseph & Sons Handicap.

The six-year-old gelding, by the Derby winner Shirley Heights, won twice on this course in July, including an apprentices race, as well as at Warwick.

He was a good third of nine runners at Newmarket last time and is clearly in good heart.
