TIBBERTON have been forced to play all their home games away from their Spetchley ground because of the foot and mouth crisis and the slowness of the pitch at their temporary home at King's Hawford School led to a slow game.

TIBBERTON v WEST MALVERN CC

Tibberton won the toss and elected to bat. They declared on 149 for eight at tea thanks to some excellent bowling from the West attack, against which only Foster with 50 was able to put up much resistance.

Bob Blackthorn took 2 for 25 and Marius Van Rensburg 2 for 15 but Pete Harper (1 for 14) and Pete O'Connell (0 for 18) looked equally as threatening.

West's reply never really got going and after Harper was out for a hard hit 19 it never looked as if they would get the runs.

Some excellent defensive batting from James Blackshaw, supported by young Matt Hadgkins and Chris Theyer ensured that West gained the draw as they finished on 83-8.
