BROMSGROVE Rovers' boss Steve Daniels begins the huge job of trying to restore their ailing fortunes tomorrow with a tough away fixture in the Midland Alliance at Oldbury United (3pm).

Rovers have been in free-fall since their heady days in the Nationwide Conference in the 1990s and have suffered the disaster of relegation three times in five years.

But a buoyant Daniels believes he has the team to mount a promotion challenge and also recognised the role Rovers' supporters can play in helping to achieve success on the pitch.

"My biggest hope is we can get the fans behind us to get us back where we should be," he said.

"We will bounce back with the support we have got, it is inevitable. The fans can play a big part and are vital. We're a big club in non-league football but we have to prove it."

Daniels is confident his forwards including the prolific Michael Moore can shoot Rovers back into the Dr Martens League at the first attempt. "Realistically I think we have the best strike force in the league," he said.

Daniels has a full squad to choose from but revealed he is still looking to strengthen his midfield.
