AN exhibition spanning a century of washing is on display in Upton Library.
The "Spick and Span" exhibition is on loan from Hartlebury museum until the end of August.
It is made up of four large display cases containing washing equipment through the ages.
These include a revolving washing line with "undies and all sorts of other things" on it, according to library supervisor Jenny Ross.
The library is also running a special promotion to try and get children to read during the holidays. The children are being set a target of six books to read and can chart their progress by moving a "carnival float" along the library wall.
An activity day is also planned for the end of the holiday, although the date is yet to be confirmed.
