THE winners at the whist drive held on July 25 were: S White, C Skirten, J Rusling, M Millington, D Quiney, L Hopkins, R Pullen, J Rose, E Williams, F Jeffreys, J Skirten and L Quiney. Mr N Pittman was the MC.
There will be no whist drive in August, the next one will be held in the village hall on Wednesday, September 19 starting at 8pm.
The majority of regular functions held at the village hall take a break during the month of August, except for Pilates, which are held on Wednesday mornings and will continue.
There is, however, a special event to be held on Bank Holiday Monday August 27 which is a tabletop sale.
Come along and rent a table for £5 and sell whatever you wish, there must be lots of things we all have that are surplus to requirements!
This is an opportunity to get rid of them all. So come along to the village hall for 10am.
The profits made from this event will be for the benefit of the Royal British Legion.
